B Spline Curve to Line edge

I want to use Geom_Line edge. But when i see the type of Geom_Line edge, it is defined as  GeomAbs_BSplineCurve edge.

How can i use Geom_Line edge if it is kept as GeomAbs_BSplineCurve ?
