OCCT 8.0.1 is the first regular maintenance release in the 8.0 series. It consolidates the fixes, performance improvements, and build updates merged after 8.0.0p1.
The main focus of this release is modeling reliability, shape healing, periodic geometry, meshing, STEP export, concurrent fillet construction, and Windows/MSYS2 integration.
π―πππππππππ:
β
More reliable Boolean operations and periodic B-spline processing
β
Shape-healing fixes for missing pcurves, replaced faces, empty wire sequences, non-manifold boundaries, and periodic conical faces
β
Faster face validation and curve-on-surface deviation checks
β
Thread-safe fillet reconstruction for independent parallel operations
β
More robust STEP export, including long-string handling and restored healing parameters
β
Improved meshing at periodic seams
β
Better CMake integration for Windows, TBB, FreeType, and MSYS2
The C++17 baseline and the core API and ABI introduced with 8.0.0p1 remain unchanged.
Thank you to everyone who reported issues, contributed fixes, reviewed changes, and helped validate this release.
