How do i know if a point on the surface is inside or outside the wire

The face is a part surface bounded by edges, and edges are organized into wires.

How do i know if a point on the surface is inside or outside the wire？

This point is generated from UV parameters, so it is on the surface, i want to know whether the point is in valid range (inside the wire).
