How to fill a Shell ?

Hey,

I want to create a cube with 6 Faces. So I put the faces in a Wire. Then I make a hole in this cube and it appears that the cube is empty. I have the same problem if the cube is a solid.

So I want my cube to be Fill of something !!
Do you have any idea ?
