Can anyone share some code showing how to save a color from a AIS_Shape to a STEP file? The OCC documentation is not very elaborate in that respect.

Thanks.

Hello Deelip,

To do so you need the XDE module (which is available in open source with Open CASCADE -
http://www.opencascade.com/products/occ/overview/compocc3/xde/). It translates not only geometry and topology
but also graphical attributes (colors, layers, names) and assemblies.
AFAIK there is some XDE sample (see its snaphot - http://www.opencascade.com/pub/demos/xde-snapshot.gif),
but it is provided with some special restrictions. I'll ask marketing and sales guys to contact you.

Hello,

The XDE sample is one of the programming samples included into the so called Advanced Samples Pack. They demonstate Open CASCADE use in various domains, including data exchange, 3D parametric modeling, industrial shape design, etc.
Access to them is granted only to our support clients as additional option under their a-la carte programs (www.opencascade.com/support/alacarte).
For more details please email to [email removed].
