Archived issue #0000943
wrong projection 3dcurve on surface.
Description
Dear Commenter 1,
A part of history for the next generation.
We have a regression on reading STEP file trj10_pm8-in.214.stp on entity (495).
The regression is intersecting pcurves of face, They are added by fixshape.
(To see this you can try fixshape dF.rle from attachment. But please note, that
checkshape on result of fixshape sometimes fails and sometimes not. It is
instability!)
The fixshape in C40 and dev version adds different pcurves. The reason is that
we have wrong projection of 3d points on the surface in dev version.
Now the BUG description:
There are surface (trj10_surface.rle) and tcl script (trj10.tcl) in attachment.
With help of that script you could see that projection result are different in
dev and C40 version. And that distinace between projection and initial point in
dev version is larger then in C40.
After correct fix of this BUG pcurves of face would be correct and checkshape
wouldn't report fails on result shape.
Thanks for your attention.
