Commenter 2, I'm unable to reproduce issues on Ubuntu 20.04.

Provided log contains suspicions message:
> Fontconfig warning: ignoring (unset),: not a valid language tag

Could you please verify that system doesn't have destructive configuration changes (like modified locales)?
